Tribal Horse, Elizabeth and Rudolph

I started WWS Tribal Horse, I am going to try to do one area a day.

Elizabeth is coming along very well, I love her dress. I thought I was in trouble last night, I couldn't find the 3746 in my little box, or any extra in my stash. Turns out even though I thought my little box was toddler proof it isn't when mom forgets and leaves it open, I did find it she put it in my stitching tote.

I started Rudolph last week so far I am half finished. I have decided to leave off the Treasures and the petite beads. No reason other than I don't like too much bling to take away from the stitching. One mistake I did make was I worked on him while I had a stomach virus and had to frog it all out.

Once I get more progress on Adia I will take a picture of her. I can say I now know the reason I hadn't started her before now, all the beads. I keep telling myself it's not as bad as the beading on The Kiss.

Tribal Finish and next Tribal, plus Mother's Day gifts

I finished my oldest's Tribal Dolphin. I stitched it on 32 count Poltergeist Opalescent Lugana from Silkweaver's and with Caron Collection Waterlilies Glacier. Love the way it turned out.

 My next WWS Tribal is the Tribal Horse. I love evenweave but on this one I picked a 16 count Adia from Silkweaver's solo sale, It's perfect. The horse will be stitched using DMC 310(Black) so I wanted something with some bright but with Orange.

Finally my boys wanted to buy me patterns for Mother's Day so they helped me pick out Five Mirabilia's. They said for my birthday I need the other Mermaids that I don't have and more Trbals.Smart kids. I can't wait to start English Roses, I love Ribbon Embroidery.

Mirabilia's Elizabeth, Adia, and WWS Tribal Dolphin

For the first time ever I changed fabric after I started something. I was going to use a hand dyed green for Adia, my oldest son picked it out and I was fine with it until I started stitching on it. I ended up frogging the green and went on a perfect fabric search. I finally decided on a purple, Yellow and purple looks great together.

Elizabeth is coming along nice, love the dress.


I had my oldest two pick out a White Willow Stitching Tribal design each my oldest picked the Dolphin and the middle child picked the Horse(I will start as soon as the Dolphin is finished).

The Kiss is finished

I finally have finished The Kiss as of 1:07 am May 3, 2012. This was my oldest  UFO (UnFinished Object), I have to say I am so happy to have started back working on it and now finishing it. I love this piece. Now to frame it.

On to work on Elizabeth, start Rudolph, Adia(all three Mirabilia's) and stitch WWS Tribal Dolphin. I may end up working on the tribal Dolphin for a week or two to just get a small bead break.LOL

So close to finishing The Kiss

I can't believe I can see the light at the tunnel. I haven't worked on anything else in weeks trying to finish "The Kiss" before my husband's birthday. When I first started this way back in 2001 I had no idea what I was doing with beads, or metallic threads, I have come a long way. I have enjoyed working on this one. I just can't wait to get finished so I can get back to Elizabeth, start Rudolph, and finish WWS Tribal Dolphin.

The Kiss

That's my beautiful DD's foot on The Kiss. I am happy to say I have less than 9,000 stitches to go. I am only working on Elizabeth once a week, I want to finish The Kiss.

A finish, a half finish and only 15,000 to go

I know weird title but it's how things have gone sine my last update.

Sweetpea is finished, Elizabeth is half finished and only 15,000 more to go on The Kiss. I also started a 5x7 piece Sue Hllis's "The Beatings will continue until Morale improves", that how I feel some days about The Kiss, I'm taking beatings on it.LOL

Sweet Pea is so Beautiful the fabric is Silkweavers Spring Garden.

 I'm excited to get back to Elizabeth's dress the bottom half should go fast, then I can start Aida.

The Kiss, for years the pain in my rear that would not disapear and almost was thrown out.
15,000 stitches to go. I am not taking her off the scroll for a few more days but I'm done with the urns now on to flowers.

Finally free time to update

Being a mom computer time is limited and what free time at night I get I stitch as much as possible. I put "The Kiss" up for a few weeks, I was so tired of flesh colors.I pulled out Barbara and Cheryl's "South battery View" it's a lovely piece but I am not a fan of landscapes, this is how much I love my husband it's for him.
Here's what it will look like finished and below that is how far I have gotten. Almost finished with page one.

Sweetpea is close to being finished. I love her. I am going to start a Reindeere next then another Pixie.Look at these colors they are beautiful.

Elizabeth, how I can't wait to get your Flesh and hair finished so I can get back to that dress. Someone asked about the fabric it was Pre Silkweaver( not new Silkweaver) 32 count Starquest Lugana.

Ok so I once said Silkweaver wasn't the same since the new owners, well I did change my mind.
I found them on facebook and they have weekly sales on their facebook page (Tuesday and Wednesday starting at 5:30) so I bought a few solos and even added a Regular color from their line, I was impressed with how fast I recieved the fabric and loved the colors. I even started FOTM, loved the colors. The only thing I don't like is not every side is serged but I have a Serger.

Also started the Tribal Dolphin from White Willow Stitching, they are fun and easy. Everyone needs something to stitch where you don't have to think much.LOL

Six projects

I counted all of the projects I hae stitched on this month, six. South Battery View(still not finished with page one), Elizabeth, The Kiss, Sweet Pea pixie, White Willow Tribal Dohphin(started that this weekend for DS#1), and Lizzie Kate Flip it's(working on May). How did this happen?
Aida The Garden Fairy is kitted up calling my name, I will not start her until "The Kiss" or "Elizabeth" is finished. I doubt it but I keep telling myself that, maybe I need to put her in my room until then.

 I have been working hard on these three and the progress is amazing.

Two Finishes

I have finished September Sapphire Fairy and Nevermore. September Sapphire Fairy by Mirabilia, Nevermore is Cross Eyed Cricket #268 "Two Familiars". I need better pictures but these will do for now.

I am still working on "The Kiss" and "Elizabeth" both by Mirabilia, plus doing small things here and there.

Hand dyed fabric

Since I was running low on hand dyed fabric, I decided to dye some myself. I think they turned out great. I ordered two yards of white fabric to dye more.

I  am close to being done with September Sapphire Fairy, so hoping a picture of her the end of the week.

I only have a wing and head and I will be finished with September Sapphire Fairy. I let DD pick which one will be next after The Kiss or Elizabeth is finished and she picked Cinderella, she also loved Aida. So sad I couldn't pick so my two year old did, I am also going to be working on Reindeer and Pixies.

Vixen

My oldest son who is seven wanted to stitch Vixen, well he asked me to do it after not getting much done on his. I started Sunday and finished tonight. I didn't have the treasures and I like it without.


I stitched it on 28 count Denim Jobelan.

It's been a long month

My best friend reminded me the other day when she stopped by that I need to update my blog.
With the Holidays I didn/t get much stitching done so not much of an update. The kiss and September Sapphire fairy are over half complete, Lady of the Flag hasn't been worked on much and the Mermaids of the Deep Blue have been put up for now and I started Elizabeth.

Plus I got a NOOK for Christmas, so been reading and playing Angry Birds which I said I wouldn't do but I'm addicted now.

I have September Sapphire on the scroll so no new Picture until I switch her out, I have almost the right wing finished. YAY!!!
